i guess i was ashamed of myself.

i was queing for the bus 293 like everyone else. the queue got longer and longer. in between the queue line, there was an entryway where passengers could go to their various lanes using this short-cut instead of walking all the way from the front. an indian lady was not in the queue but waiting to be, just at the side of the entryway. when i saw her, the first thing that leapt to my mind was that she was going to cut queue.

the bus arrived and all the passengers were walking forward. seeing that the indian woman wanted to walk in the queue, a chinese woman allowed her to walk in front of her. i thought to myself, "i knew it. why should the chinese woman let her cut the queue?! seriously." thinking to just forget the whole matter entirely, i continued to walk but surprisingly, the indian woman did not board the bus! instead, she waited for the rest of the passengers to go up first. i don't think i saw her on the bus though. guess there was too many people and she waited for the next bus?

the thing is, i shouldn't have jumped to the conclusion that she was cutting the queue even though my eyes saw it that way. sometimes, what we think we see might not be the truth.

sorry indian lady! i misjudged your actions.
