Depressing Stories

Alright. Today, my father told me some stories. 2 to be exact. It started out like that. *clouds appear*

This blind girl met this guy and they started dating and all. Then one day, this guy asked the girl, "Will you still love me when you can see me?" The girl replied, "Yes". So after an operation, the girl was able to see but when she saw the guy, she said she did not love him anymore. The guy only replied her saying, "Then just look after my eyes for me."

The next story is about a father and his smart daughter. One day, father and daughter were about to cross a bridge which was above ground level of about 5 storeys high. The father took hold of his daughter's hand and wanted to cross but the girl stopped him. She said, "Daddy, i think i should hold your hand instead."

After reading this story, what did you think of the girl's action? Well for me, i thought the girl to be really sweet for she wanted to take care of her father instead of always letting the father take care of her.

What my father told me was totally different. He said, "The girl wanted to hold his father's hand because she was afraid the father would let go of her if she fell and pull her down with him if he fell. If she were to hold him instead of him holding her, she could let go if anything untoward happens."

I was shocked. Really, because i did not think like a pessimist. Always looking for the bright side of life. After hearing what my father said, i believe that life has its cruelties and also the downs but if one keeps holding onto all of these sad stuff, when will you ever be happy? Remember these stories but do not live by them. Treat them like a lesson learnt instead of always guarding yourself against life. Maybe you'll enjoy life better.
