Mary Balogh - Heartless

This is a new book i read. it was FANTASTIC! hahaha... i mean... it was very interesting but i din really like the ending. The main characters of this story is Anna and Luke. They met and then Luke due to obligations, he asked Anna to marry him. She agreed but it was not really a love match yet. They both had secrets you see. And Luke thot he was a heartless man because he trained himself to become one. Due to some disastrouos past he had, he din want to ever feel hurt again. He feels that love has again and again hurt him deeply so he tries to make everything into pleasure instead of love. Anna in her case, she had a deep secret and it all started with her not being a virgin (physically) on the nuptial night that she and Luke had. She had one big secret that could ruin the marriage. SO bla bla bla... the interesting part was the revealing of secrets slowly and Luke's heart melted with the birth of his daughter. He finally realised that he loved Anna and would do anything to protect her. And i found out a truth that is damn disgusting la. the reason why she lost her virginity was not because she slept with another man but it was becuase of this so called "father" of hers. this man, he keeps thinking that he was anna's father because he was in love with anna's mother but anna's mother din love him. PSYCHO! den one day... he ask his servants to go and bring anna and den tie her to the bed. den one of the maids took something and den inserted into her womanhood. when they saw blood, the "father" said to her that she was no longer a virgin and no man would marry her. at that time, anna din noe that he was her "father". That guy wanted to keep her forever with him and to stay by his side until he died. so he made threats to anna so that she would not be able to wring away from him. But in the end, thanks to Luke, he killed that guy and all peace was restored. Finally, they could live in happiness and JOY (their daughter's name).

haha... nice book ah... hoho...
